Factor 5 Update
Making no more games for Nintendo's console.

April 14, 2004 - In a conversation with IGNcube today, Factor 5 president Julian Eggebrecht said the company would not develop any more titles for Nintendo's GameCube console. The studio is currently creating software for other platforms.

Eggebrecht would not say what titles were in development at Factor 5 nor would he talk specifically about what platform they might appear on. However, at the Game Developers Conference 2004 Eggebrecht was spotlighted as one of the studio heads very keen on Sony PSP development.

The Factor 5 president told IGNcube that no software from the San Rafael-based software house would be previewed at the forthcoming Electronics Entertainment Expo 2004, which kicks off this May in Los Angeles.

After getting some info myself, I've discovered that they aren't really 'canning' GC, just they have begun production on PilotWings for N5, Nintendos next home system. factor 5 could not comment on this because Nintendo ha snot released information on N5 games yet.

Factor 5 made Rouge Squadron for GC in about 9 months. That is extrememly fast and they made it as a launch title. Julian stated that he wished he had more time to work on it and said "next time, they will."

That is what this is all about....that 'next time' is now.

Oh. Still doesn't look too good for GC. Especially since Nintendo isn't releasing their next console for A WHILE. Which I thought was a dumb plan, they should've stuck with their head start idea.
